Hollows of Emptiness: One Last Glimpse of the Sky

Hollows of Emptiness: One Last Glimpse of the Sky

Beth Krensky and Zev Gorfinkle

One Last Glimpse of the Sky is made from a model train manufactured in 1929. It contains enameled copper panels of clouds and the underside of the roof is gilded in 23-karat gold leaf. Enamel was used because the molten glass needs melts at high temperatures inside a kiln/oven.
